1. Do as it is taught in the Bible.
The bible said to give tithes to priests, Levites, strangers, orphans, widows and for Levites to give priests tithes from the tithe they receive. (Deuteronomy 12:11 - 12, 14:22 to 29, 26:12 to 15, Nehemiah 10:36 and 39, Num 18:20 ~ 32)
It said to bring tithes, presents, offerings to the places where Jesus put his name, and make Levites pleased. Those who preach the gospel of Jesus Christ will be living through the gospel. (Matthew 10:10, Corinthians 9:13 to 14, etc.)
At the New Testament times, those who preach the gospel are the Levites and priests.
Those who propagate and teach the gospel as pastors are the priests, and those who carry out the gospel and serve their churches can be seen as the Levites. (Romans 15:16) These days, those who serve in the church, teach the words of the Lord, spread him, and take care of and feed his sheep belong to the Lord therefore will be fed with tithes. People who are poor, hungry, orphaned will also live from tithes.
Christians should serve for the church of Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit. (Philippians 3:03)
(1) Elijah was served by a widow of Zarephath as a servant of the Lord. (I Kings 17:09).
(2) Elisha received Shunem woman's volunteering. (II Kings Chapter 4)
(3) God fed the families of cadets. (II Kings Chapter 4)
(4) Teach to serve with own wealth. (Luke 8:01 ~ 3)
(5) Preach to help women who propagate not to live in poverty. (Titus 3:12 - 14, 4:16 to 19, Bill, Bill, 4:3).
(6) Give to church after receiving the grace of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 4:34).
2. As above, divide things that God gave you to here and there as he commends you and the Holy Spirit inspires you.
(1) Give the full amount of tithes to someone.
(2) Give to all churches you go.
(3) Give tithes to rural church or newly established church, the sick, the poor, or missionaries on street.
(4) Every month, if you obey God to give tithe to a church then it makes him pleased, and will become fragrant offering.
3. The attitude is necessary for the Gospel, the evangelist, and the church that always keep the fact in mind that things of God will be used according to the will of God. And you should know that when a Christian doesn't have ears to hear the voice of the Lord, there are lots of occasion that Jesus commends through his servants. Christians should be smart not to have difficulties by disobedience.
4. These days, some pastors in Korean churches encourage church giving which doesn't exist in the Bible. Sometimes, they force church giving without a choice or uses frauds and threats. They also make people wrongly donate to church with humane lessons via newspaper, books, TV, and lectures.
For example,
(1) God will fill the amount of money you want to earn later which is equivalent to tithe.
(2) If your husband goes against to church giving, hide it.
(3) You should pay tithing to the church you attend.
(4) Alcohol donations, monthly donations, intended offerings, district offerings, and dedication service offerings are necessary for bless.
(3) Offer cars to pastors, offer expensive suits, donate refrigerators, place instruments in the church, set stage for preaching, offer the house, donate private clothes for pastor's wife, donate a microphone, buy buses, and offer the land and mountains and offer etc. etc.. Do not be deceived Christians. Review the biblical teaching of your pastor whether it is matched with the Bible and offer according to the Bible and commend of the Holy Spirit.
Christians have not known the Bible, not been able to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit, and made decisions based on emotions then have been deceived by false teachings in their holy lives. So many churches in Korea today, including new churches, have kept closing as evangelists are poor and can't keep living. Also, you should recognize that the number of evangelists has decreased; therefore it is extremely hard to see an evangelist.
5. In Malachi chapter 3, God says to fill my house with tithes.
This means to offer to the churches of Jesus.
At the time, people of Israel stole tithes so that priests and the Levites couldn't receive the cost of living and it wasn't able to rescue the poor, the widows and orphans. Priests and the Levites in the days of Nehemiah didn't have anything to eat so they didn't serve their church and go back to hometowns. These facts are taught in the Bible to Christians.
And
(1) To look after orphans and widows in distress. (Jacob 1:27).
(2) Try to rescue hardly. (Jacob 2:14 - 26)
(3) The remedies should be firstly given to brothers and sister who believe in Jesus. . (Galatians 6:6-10)
(4) Jesus' servants donate to the evangelist to be used for missionary. (Acts Chapter 4-5)
(5) Pastors, evangelists should be given. (Philippians 4:18 - 19, Gal 6:6-10, 1John 3 - 17, I Timothy 6:17 - 19)
6. There is the saying of Jesus, 'when you do merciful deeds, don't let your left hand know what your right hand does'. (Matthew 6:3) The living of Christian is possible when there is the religious confession of "All things come out from the Lord, resulted by the Lord, and return to the Lord." and he or she is free from material desires of ownership as s/he recognizes a responsibility as an administrator. In other words, when I realize there is nothing of my own and I only did errands with Jesus' wealth, and when I must admit that nothing is done on my own; there is nothing to boast about myself. After that, when I appreciate the glory, praise to the Lord and faithfully executive salvation which is a responsibility of Christians, this attitude is the secret merciful deed. It is the salvation which left hand doesn't know about, which God blesses, acknowledges, and is same to Cornelius'.
7. God makes us to donate according your circumstances
In the Bible, people who can’t donate a cow can substitute it with a goat or a ship, other person who can’t afford a sheep are able to do with a pigeon, others who even can’t afford this can give flour. This is the love of God for Christians. However, some greedy ministers allure people to donate a lot of money even by being in debt, saying if you give much then you will receive much in return.
As a result God is perceived to be someone who only demands money, and is denounced to bless people who donate lots of money. So many people are telling that you can’t believe God without money and become unfaithful. This is a huge sin.
8. Tithes and other church giving belong to God, not a certain pastor, a church, a prayer house.
(1) They should be used for people who live for the gospel; as living and propagating expense of pastors and evangelists.
(2) Should be used for people who are not anointed-evangelists, employees of churches, church singers.
(3) Should be used for the laity who volunteers to carry out and teach gospel on the street and at home without any position in a church,
(4) Should be used for the poor and the starved.
(5) Should be used for propagating.
As some people are monopolizing the money of God, evangelists are not supported financially by churches and therefore they are hard to find these days. Many evangelists want to save holy spirits by carrying out gospel, however, to survive and support their family, they return back to their own livings to earn money. Have you heard them saying they will propagate only if they have enough money to take buses?
Don’t be a hypocrite. Look after poor pastors and evangelists before taking care of yourself.
9. Use an offertory box
Even in the Bible, people used an offertory box for church giving.
Don’t be boastful about your donation.
Don’t advertise facts on the church’s newspaper about who donated how much.
Don’t be pleased about being advertised and promoted about your church giving.
Don’t pray for bless while taking out of envelops.
People don’t need to know about your church giving-it’s a matter between you and God.
In the Bible, no one boasted with giving a cow, a sheep, or a pigeon.
